AVANGRID’s dedication to improving our communities is unmatched.

When the pandemic struck, we donated masks, supported food banks and made sure hospitals and manufacturing plants had a reliable power supply. The Avangrid Foundation and our operating companies donated millions of dollars to nonprofits and many of our employees volunteered their time in our communities during the pandemic.

It is in this spirit of giving and supporting that we celebrate a cornerstone of AVANGRID’s good corporate citizenship – the Avangrid Foundation’s “#AVANgives” initiative. For the past three years, the Foundation has asked employees to nominate a nonprofit to receive a $5,000 grant. The result has been amazing and inspiring – more than 30 nonprofits have received much-needed dollars with our employees taking a direct role in supporting our communities in partnership with the Avangrid Foundation.

Earlier this year, we again asked employees to nominate nonprofits for the next round of #AVANgives grants. This year the theme is “Reconciliation & Recovery,” focused on nonprofits dedicated to diversity, inclusion, representation, social justice and equity. This year’s criteria was simple: the organizations must serve marginalized communities and/or support programs that further advance post-COVID recovery.

We received many impressive nominations, and are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2021-2022 #AVANgives community grants:
